When I was younger, I’m talking maybe around 5 years old all I would ever draw was fish, with a jagged edge. I remember me and my sister having these art tool boxes for holidays that mum got us and mine was yellow and covered in stickers. This one particular sticker I was obsessed with. It was a fish, a jagged one. And I copied it and did so many variations of it. And I guess that has done a full circle. Even deciding to draw ‘the Ling’ fish, I had no idea it was from Cornwall. (One of my favourite places on earth)
Also, If you know me from when I was a kid you’d know I went everywhere with a hat on too, so making these felt special. So even though it’s just a fish on a hat, it is so much more than that.
