There I was

There I was.

As if time stopped for a moment.

I look down.

I look left.

I look right.

The water is pink from the setting sun.

My arm strong, directing me.

The pull of water beneath me.

The perfect wall of water around me.

Every ripple magnified.

every sound tripled.

I am speechless.

There I was.

As present as I could ever be.

A moment never to be forgotten.
